Dallas, TX (Future150) -- When all the dust cleared on the 2018 Future150 DFW Spring Showcase, it was Team E.A.D. Elite that was victorious. Behind a 15 point performance from tournament MVP Donovan Souter, they took down a tough Victory Elite squad by a score of 66-58.

Future150 DFW Spring Showcase All-Tournament Team:

Donovan Souter, Team E.A.D. Elite (MVP)
Carter Marquis, Victory Elite
Malique Pennington, Texas Supreme

Alan Rhone, New Era

Amaechi Chukwu, Apex Elite

Future150 DFW Spring Showcase Honor Roll List:

Donovan Souter, 2019 SG, Team E.A.D. Elite (TX): The MVP of the entire division, the 6'2" guard was a walking bucket throughout the tournament. He's a smooth athlete who can get it done on all three levels. He's also very good at getting to the rim and scoring against contact. Using his speed, he's also very fun to watch in the open floor.

Carter Marquis2019 SF, Victory Elite (TX): An explosive 6'2" wing, he used his athleticism to score everything around the rim and defended quite well consistently. As far as a perimeter jumper goes, he's also able to make shots with enough regularity to keep defenses honest.

Malique Pennington, 2019 SG, Texas Supreme (TX): A natural scorer at 5'11", he was the offensive catalyst for his Texas Supreme team throughout the tournament. His scoring outputs were quite impressive, but he also showed nice ball skills and the ability to run the offense as well.

Alan Rhone, 2019 SG/SF, New Era (TX): An impressive athlete, maybe the most impressive in the entire tournament. The 6'2" wing showed flashes of dominance with his play in Dallas. While his motor isn't always on high, when it is, he's always going to be one of the most talented kids in the gym.

Isaiah 'Ice' Calhoun, 2020 PG, NTX Crush (TX): A tough customer at 5'10", he put pressure on defenses throughout the Spring Showcase because of his ability to play fast and physical basketball at all times. He punished defenders on his way to the rim throughout the weekend, and proved to be one of the most talented scorers in the division.

Remi May, 2019 PG, Victory Elite: A flashy ball-handler who is as shifty as they come, he was a fan favorite throughout the Future150 DFW Spring Showcase. He's a crafty scorer who can get it done anywhere on the floor. He's also a verbal leader who knows how to run his team.

Amaechi Chukwu, 2020 F, Apex Elite (TX): One of the most offensively dominant prospects in the division was the 6'4" forward. He was a physical force on the low blocks, cleaning up the glass and finishing plays consistently. He also showed a reliable mid-range jumper when necessary as well.

Nolen Russell, 2019 G, BWA (TX): The 6'2" wing used his lanky frame and quick first step to get into the lane at will throughout the weekend. His ability to score when slashing is his best offensive asset, and he possesses a frame that makes him a capable defender as well.

Jason Makayabo, 2019 PG, Team E.A.D. Select (TX): A 5'9" point guard, he's as quick as a jet on the floor. For his size, he's a high octane scorer who has a propensity to get buckets whenever he pleases. When it comes to his defensive ability, he's a strong guard who loves to play physical basketball.

Donovan Waiters, 2019 SF, BWA (TX): A strong-framed 6'2" wing, he's a load for any opposing prospect to guard. He's a strong slasher and rebounder on the offensive end, always capable of double-doubles. On the defensive end, he uses his strong frame to manipulate the offense.
